No Vin error message intellilink multimedia

    Hi guys, i'm asking at this german forum , because you probably have more experience with errors on the Astra K.


    Right after my five year warranty went out, I started to reveive "no vin" error mesage sometimes when I start the car at the multimedia screen. When it happens, it disapperars after a few seconds.


    Is there anything I can do, software update?? The screen works fine except for this short error message.

    "No VIN" sounds like an error of the immobilizer to me. Maybe there is a communication problem to another ECU or the radio kind of lost its proper coding.

    Ok, might be. What to do in that case? Opel has told me to wait until it becomes worse, I thought a software update should be tried perhaps.. They should be able to take a diagnosis test even of the error message disappear?

    I would also try to reinstall the proper software on the radio. Is there no error code logged in the system?
